We’re going to attempt a LAN Zoom meeting and see how well it works… If you don’t already know, Zoom is a video meeting facility. Anyone will be able to log into the LAN Zoom meeting (so let’s hope you all behave yourselves!). You won’t really be able to chat informally like in a face to face LAN meeting, but what we have planned might still work as a compromise… we’ll see!

We would like to record the meeting and post the recording on Art in Liverpool website, but if you don’t want your face to feature in the video then you can just turn your camera off.

If you don’t know how to use Zoom then don’t worry it is very easy and we’ve put some basic instructions further below.

Here’s the current line up for the meeting…

Josie Jenkins from LAN will share any opportunities she thinks you might find interesting.

Patrick Kirk Smith from Art in Liverpool will give an update on Liverpool Independents Biennial.

Jayne Lawless from Dead Pigeon Gallery will give an update and speak about North End Sketchclub.

Rob Flynn from Road Studios will show you a ‘virtual art gallery’ game called Occupy White Walls.

But we’d love to add to it if anyone has anything to share? If you are an individual OR an organisation please get in touch if you’d like to share something yourself or if you’d just like us to mention an opportunity on your behalf.

Here are some things you might want to present about:
Opportunities for artists during lockdown
What you have been doing during lockdown – any inspiration or advice.
Funding opportunities during lockdown
Ways to promote or display your work during lockdown
Opportunities or ideas for engaging with other artists during lockdown.
Maybe something else that doesn’t have anything to do with lockdown!

THIS IS THE MEETING ZOOM ID – 824 4948 3795

Here are some basic instructions about how to use Zoom:

If you are using a computer you don’t need to download anything – just go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82449483795 and if it asks for a Meeting ID put in 824 4948 3795

If you are using a smart phone or tablet you will need to download the free app called Zoom. You need to create a personal account and then you are good to go. Click join meeting and put in this meeting ID 824 4948 3795.

If when you log in it says ‘to hear others please join audio’, you need to click ‘call using Internet Audio.’

If you are still a bit apprehensive about the whole Zoom thing, please get in touch and we can do a little trial run with you to get you more confident.

We’d like to get an idea of numbers so if you are going to attend the meeting then please  email and let us know – liverpoolartnet@yahoo.co.uk
